Today was ASJM's 100th day of school! It feels like we just started BUT if you look at the students you can see just how much growth we've had in 100 days of learning! Keep up the hard work everyone! Happy 100th Day of School!

On Friday ASJM students in grades PreK - 4th celebrated pajama day! It was all about comfort but even more enjoyable was seeing the adorable sets all the students picked.

Grades 5 - 8 completed their Triathlon yesterday with three separate games: hockey, soccer, and ultimate ball. Fun was had by all but ONE team came out a winner! Congrats Jets!

The Academy of St. James' 8th Grade class received their class rings in a beautiful ceremony on December 8th. They will wear their rings with pride and love for ASJM! Congrats on the first big event of your 8th grade year!

December 6th was a wonderful day for Student Council members in celebrating Saint Nicholas Day! Preschool through eighth grade students were surprised by a visit from Santa and a treat. Our Student Council members, moderated by Mrs. Shire, with Santa told ASJM students to remember Nicholas’s kindness and charity as they prepare for Christmas.

In the spirit of giving, our Student Council would like to express its gratitude to the families and students of Saint James who contributed to the food drive for families in need. It was indeed a fine act of charity as indicated by the large amounts of food collected. Way to go ASJM!!

My students in fifth grade were able to express themselves through words and images in an exciting way. During our creative writing class, students identified literary devices, structure, and theme which enabled them to create acrostic poems about Thanksgiving. Later, working collaboratively in art class students connected the Thanksgiving theme through drawing and coloring their mental picture. This cross -curricular learning connection was a meaningful outlet for the fifth grade students to share their creativity. I am very proud of them! - Mrs. Shire

Last week Academy of St. James students celebrated All Saint's Day by dressing up as their favorite saints! Here are a few of our students who dressed and brought up the gifts during mass.

We are up to FUNGI! The students in Grade 5 dissected a mushroom and will diagram the parts of the mushroom. This was a Discovery Lab! All the students had fun with this hands on experience in Ms. Baham's Science class!

We have been getting The Academy ready for September all summer! The inside is coming along great but Father Marc had a fabulous idea for outside. Take a look! With the help of Mario, we are able to have this amazing sign up to show our ASJM PRIDE in time for the first days of school!

Congratulations to ASJM's April Students of the Month! Keep shining!

The Academy of St. James of the Marches Faculty, Staff and Students crowned Mary our Queen today after our regular 8:15 mass. We had a court of 5 students who crowned Mary outside and all students celebrated with a decade of the Rosary.
