The Third Grade has been very busy since we started school in September.    We write in our Journals every day. Learning to write correctly is very important. We are becoming creative with our entries, as we answer a different prompt each day.

We celebrated October “The Month of the Rosary” by creating a large paper rosary on our bulletin board while learning how to say the rosary. We colored a stained glass window with the Hail Mary prayer and we colored our own rosaries.

We have been writing our multiplication tables every day and every night. Knowing our tables is super important!

In November, we celebrated All Saints’ Day by doing research on a saint. We read our report orally to the class and our papers are now displayed on our bulletin board.

We wrote an “I am Thankful for…” paper. First we did the sloppy copy or first draft and when corrections were made, we wrote our final copy. They will be displayed on our bulletin board outside our classroom.

We discussed the Water Cycle and we are doing an evaporation experiment in class. We are observing the water go down significantly.

We are learning The Preamble to the Constitution with hand motions. We are singing a song of  all the states in the United States.

We have been practicing our song for the Christmas Show, which is on December 12th. We are very excited to be performing on stage.

Upcoming for our class will be the discussion of Advent, which begins on December 3rd.
