Mrs. King's Fifth Grade Classroom
Welcome to 5th Grade!
Hello ASJM families! My name is Mrs. King (formerly Ms. DeLillo) and I am beginning my tenth year as a teacher. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was five years old. All the women in my family are teachers and I have always said that teaching is in my blood.
I started my teaching career in the Archdiocese of Newark and am entering my sixth year in the Diocese of Paterson. I am a graduate of Caldwell University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. During the course of my career, I have taught first, second, third, and fifth grade.
Before coming to Saint James I worked at Visitation Academy in Paramus, New Jersey. At Visitation I taught first, second and third grade. I enjoyed working with the younger students, but I am excited to be working with the older children again this year. Prior to working in Paramus, I lived in Madison, Wisconsin for seven years. I loved living in Madison, however, eventually getting up to 100 inches of snow during the winter got to me and I moved back to New Jersey to be closer to my family.
In my spare time I love spending time with my husband and two boys, reading, and cooking.
